'STRAWBERRIES' - (2014)

Format: 35mm (Fujifilm) / DCP

Director: Paul Surety

Production Company: Surefire Communications

SYNOPSIS:

A naughty, illicit weekend takes a turn for the extraordinary when Alex tries to convince his beautiful younger partner that the holiday apartment thay are renting is already inhabited.

PRODUCTION:

'Strawberries' marked my first collaboration with Director Paul Surety, and required a very particular cinematographic approach. The film draws its influences from a number of sources, including European Arthouse and the beautiful, escapist romantic dramas of 1950's Hollywood.

Originated on Fujifilm Vivid 250D and Fujifilm Vivid 500T in the 2-perf 35mm format, the film was shot spherically for a final aspect ratio of 2:35:1

Colourist Toby Tomkins (Cheat) graded the film from uncompressed 2K files provided by iDailies (London), who also provided film processing for the production.

'Strawberries' will be entered into a number of prestigious film festivals, both in the UK and Internationally. The film will make its premiere at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.
